Sentinels...oil painting

780.00

One beautiful summer day I stood for hours painting this scene at a

Lavender Farm in Canby, Oregon. The geometry, patterns and colors:

all soothing and peaceful elements to capture into this painting. There is

nothing quite like painting on location-especially during the lavender

season!

This and another have been accepted into the Plein Air Show at the

Oregon Society of Artists Fall 2023 show. We open this event on

First Thursday Oct. 5th from 5:30-8pm.

Sunday October 8th...10am. to 1pm.

October is a perfect time to respond to Fall colors and shapes: Sunflowers and Gourds are our subjects to this One Day OSA workshop. The Asian art of Sumi.e is a lifelong practice. Brushwork, values of inks, use of gouache as a color medium and learning to see and express with these materials and techniques will strengthen any painter-beginner and experienced. This unique approach to painting and "writing" your impressions is a wonderful meditation often used with music and poetry combined! Namaste...nk
